Last Monday, we had four master's students from the ISLANDS MSc programme of the University of Groningen - Faculty of Spatial Sciences visited Learning Hub in the Blokhuispoort, together with Prof. Dr. Louise Meijering.

In the coming period, they will investigate within our European FASA project how schools can better involve families in STEAM education and what influence the social and geographical environment has on this.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics. Within FASTEAM, the connection between school and families is central.

One of the places where they are investigating this is Eilandschool De Jutter on Vlieland. The small-scale island community makes this an interesting environment to investigate what this context means for the cooperation between school and families.

A great collaboration between students, research and education. We look forward to working together!
